About Me and The Blog

Hai! Welcome to a tiny, insignificant part of the internet. My blog! 😀

In the busy schedule of the Universe, where the asteroids shooting around in the abyss of space, like the corks popping off champagne bottles, crash against the dark side of the moon, gazing down onto the beautiful blue ball that is our earth, holding approximately seven billion people, seven billion stories, functioning like bees in a hive, worshipping pieces of paper, I was born. In October (Whoop, Libra! ♎)

That’s where my Chapter One started. Although, some may argue, Chapter One started somewhere around the end of January but that is another story to tell and not mine to tell.

You can call me Shay (since that is my name). 🙂

I wish I could say that I’m a great, inspiring role model for young female teenagers, like Angelina Jolie is. I’m not. I’m a 16 year old girl, likely to be found lost in a heap of blankets with chamomile tea and a laptop, watching The Flash on repeat or scrolling endlessly through memes. If you can’t imagine that, just picture a hunchback Gollum vampire, who looks like they’ve been locked away for multiple years and suddenly gets exposed to sunlight. I also lack the strong facial structure that Angelina Jolie has. Yeah…that’s me.

However, I’ve had my fair share of tough days and self acceptance difficulties so I do know how to cope and deal with issues, which I touch on in some of my posts, so I’m not 100% useless and lazy…

My blog, Planet Shay, is a black hole into an accumulation of ‘thoughts’ post. Notice my use of quotations around thoughts – describing the category of my blog is difficult; you’ll find things ranging from science to philosophy and equality to little light-hearted, comedic posts. So…let’s just call it a thoughts blog. Agree to disagree?

I guess I can say my aim is sharing my own experiences and raising the awareness that needs to be spread about issues that are important to me, like racism, sexism, etc. Something that’s also important to me is spreading happy vibes so I hope that some of my posts do make you laugh or smile. And I hope that you can be enlightened by a few things, that I think are quite interesting.

I’d like to say I have a lot of hobbies and interests. One of them being settling into bed and staying up all night watching The Office, which leads to watching makeup tutorials that I know I can’t do but find satisfying, which leads to watching What The Shape Of Your Finger Says About Your Personality. And then my alarm goes off and I go about my day, convincing myself I need ‘Me Time’ and a break to rejuvenate. From what? Oh, from complaining about how much revision I have to do and procrastinating. 🙂

Besides that, I love writing, sci-fi stuff, listening to stand up, playing cards (weird one, I know) and despite the countless jokes I make about being lazy, I actually don’t mind revising (I know,  sound the Nerd Alarm over here!) IT’S NOT ONE OF MY HOBBIES THOUGH!!1  Also, I hope one day I start actually creating the comedy sketches that I’ve been writing for ages. As I said, I do hope I can lighten your day because I like putting that sort of positive emotion into people…that phrase could be interpreted wrongly…but you know what I mean… XD

I also love Amy Schumer and Inception. Two unrelated things but I just wanted to mention it.

So yeah. (I also say that a lot)

Anyways, thank you for reading my ‘about’ page, unless you skipped to this bit…then god dammit! I hope you enjoy reading my posts as much as I enjoy making them! :3

Adios, mis amigos.

Loved the jokes. Atoms do make up everything, and who would have ever thought that rhetorical questions could tell a good joke! I look forward to seeing what you come up with next. Also, I thank you for following my blog. I’d like to say “The checks in the mail” but, I’m sure you already know—it being after Christmas and all—”The Attics” budget for 2015 has been totally exhausted. Yet, your decision to follow my blog tells me you’re willing to endure my nonsense despite cash incentives. Suggesting; you’re going to fit right in with the rest of my madcap—albeit—financially unrewarded readers. Thank you, Dauntless! :O)

I don’t BELIEVE this; I’m not following you! Well I am NOW but WHAT?!
Anyway. I love your blog, and you as a person, but you know I think you’re right because of our emails.

LOL – love the puns! I can never get enough of them! Speaking of which, I’m sure you’ve heard of the Xanth series by Piers Anthony (a.k.a. Pier Xanthony)? If not, you just might love the books…they are filled with puns!

Omg Love your blog!! The one about perks of being short is awesome and as a short person myself, I loved reading it 😛
Also really liked reading your response to dear fat people. Those kind of videos disgust me.
The jokes on your page are so cheesy but grate!! Okay, seriously, I actually laughed at all of them. 🙂
